How to rock a super cute ponytail

I always wear a ponytail. Well, maybe not always, but most every day. Yet they tend to get a little boring over time and don’t seem to be all that feminine and chic. I’ve experimented with the “poof” and currently I’m on the side ponytail kick. This weekend I decided to give it a little summer look by adding a cute flower:
All you need is a silk flower {real ones tend to wilt rapidly in the heat – especially when in your hair}, some hot glue and a button pin.
Put hot glue on the back of the flower, then glue the pin {needle facing you} to the flower. Allow to dry/cool completely. Once you’re ready to use, pull your hair back and stick the pin through a small section next to your ponytail holder {you could also stick it into the ponytail holder itself}.

Great idea! I’m a ponytail girl too. It’s just so easy. A flower might actually make me look like I fixed my hair on purpose!!

Very cute, and styish for the summer. To be honest, it seems more “you” than the poof, even though you pulled that off nicely as well. Now if only I had hair long enough for a ponytail 🙂

I think so too. I like the poof, but the whole point of a ponytail is to take as little time and effort as possible – not tease the tar out of my hair and fix it for 30 minutes. So, I think unless I’ve got plenty of time on my hands, the poof is poof.

I may have to give this a try. I can’t ever really get the poof to work for me, and Mike is not a fan of the poof anyway. The flower is easy, but makes it look pretty and more planned, rather than “I woke up late and have no time to do my hair.” 🙂

Great idea, thanks for the instructions! I can’t wait until my hair is long enough to rock the ponytail again, wish it would have happened pre-baby but oh well.
