My Kids Kicked Booty at the Easter Egg Hunt

Posted on: April 25, 2011

Our family is still trying to sort through how exactly we plan to celebrate Easter. Will there be baskets? Candy? Eggs? Thankfully, the girls don’t ask too many questions and seem oblivious to the commercialized side of Easter and have only learned the true meaning.

With that said, we did do an egg hunt this weekend. Our neighborhood held an egg hunt and several of our neighbors were attending with their kids. We decided to go. When we arrived, there were long lines of cars and people so we just kept driving by. ย We figured maybe a family breakfast would be much more fun.

Then, as we drove past Walgreens, we saw several workers standing outside advertising an egg hunt that started in 20 minutes. It was free and no one was around, so we figured we would give it a try. By the time the hunt started, there were more parents than kids, so every kid walked away with a big bag of eggs.

Our loot

Despite being tired, Hannah was not going to lose out on getting some goodies

Two of my favorite people {and the loot}

Now, for this next picture, I realize it’s not the best, but it’ll have to do…

The growing baby bump:

Love the bump!

Thanks! ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s your turn to share pictures. ๐Ÿ˜‰

The girls are so big Sarah!! Hannah hair seems so much longer and really makes her look like a little girl vs a toddler. <> And, I also love the baby bump!

They really are! I don’t believe that they’ve grown {because I see them all the time}, but looking back at pictures even just a few months ago, and I’m shocked by the difference.

that is what i was going to post! hannah looks like a little girl now and julia looks like a big girl!! thanks for posting a bump pic ๐Ÿ™‚

I was thinking this same thing. I can’t believe how grown up they both look! Miss seeing you guys in person!!

My husband thought it was mean because I filled some of my kids’ eggs with fish crackers – but honestly the bucketfulls of candy they were mowing through was making me cringe!

I followed your link from Mrs. Darcy. I love her blog. I look forward to getting to know you better too!

Thanks for stopping by! And I’d totally do fish crackers in place of candy – kids like it just as much {especially if they don’t know what they’re missing ๐Ÿ˜‰ }.

How serendipitous! That is some serious loot. The picture cracked me up–do all Walgreens everywhere look EXACTLY the same? Because that pic could have been taken down the street from me–right down to the Odyssey in the parking lot!

I agree-the girls look much older. I can’t believe how long Hannah’s hair is, and is Julia as tall as she looks? Oh the bump-cute cute cute, you look great!

Awww what fun! Your whole family is adorable by the way. Lovin’ that baby bump. ๐Ÿ™‚

The girls looked like they were having so much fun and looks like they hit the jackpot!! You look so sweet in this picture and in the picture in your latest post!! Hope you are feeling good.
