A Wife Loved Like The Church

Good Friday Joy

Posted on: April 22, 2011

Today is a day of celebration. Today is a remembrance of Christ’s death on the cross. His sacrifice for the world. While His followers at the time didn’t fully understand “Good Friday”, His followers now know that Easter would never have been Easter without Good Friday.

And what an amazingly good Friday it was.

What’s your Friday joy?

Amen sister! The modern “church” seems to have forgotten the importance of the cross. I thank God for Jesus’ atoning sacrifice and that Jesus obtained eternal redemption for us with His blood (Hebrews 9:12) and He is our propitiation for sins through faith in His blood. We celebrate Jesus and make His name great in all the earth!

I know! I was just thinking today how it’s awesome (and weird to those that don’t know why) that we call today GOOD Friday. But it IS so good!

He is risen!

Thanks for the reminder Sarah, Good Friday indeed!

Great post. Have a blessed Easter!
