A Father’s Day Surprise

This past Wednesday, we had our 20-week ultrasound. You might have seen my tweet/facebook update:
Well, my dear friends, are you ready for our news?
Really, really ready?
Like, so ready, that when you see this:
You let out a little squee?
Or
Are you so ready, that when you see this:
You let out a big ol’ “Woo-hoo!”
That’s right, my friends, come November, the Windhams are having a baby boy.

Woo Hoo! You guys must be so thrilled, but especially daddy!! Finally a little man to balance out the estrogen. My hubby is always joking that he needs a boy in the house to balance out the high estrogen levels. 🙂 But we’re pretty certain he’s only capable of producing girls… 3 kids…all girls!

BOOOOYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!! I thought I knew from Instagram but you got me with the first photo and I actually thought twins while I was frantically scanning and seeing what was up haha.
What a sweet thing to pray, and what an exciting new adventure.

When we went for a 7 week ultrasound with Hannah, they said that I had “dropped two eggs, but only one was fertilized”. After that I’ve been a little weary of having twins (since it’s on both sides of the family). So our very first ultrasound this time (around 10 weeks) we said “please make sure you only see one baby!” I’m sure I’d rejoice at twins, but am pretty glad God gives ’em to me one at a time!! Haha!

Yea!!!! Boys are great!!! I did the same thing, when I found out our second was a boy. Mom look at me and said we need to put your order in for the next one. Lol!! So we prayed and we have two boys and my buddy girl! God is sooooo good to us!!

I’m a little behind, but YAY! I was praying for a healthy pregnancy and baby of course, but also a little bit that you’d get to experiece having a boy 🙂 You will love having a boy, they love their momma’s so much! It’s just so different… I’m sure Jonathan is thrilled. Congrats you guys!

YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You really tricked me with that first one! I am so excited for y’all!!!!!!! I am assuming this is happy news, as it has to be, right?! Boys are so, so fun and I am delighted you will get to experience a boy, too! I have LOVED, LOVED, LOVED having both!!!

We are super thrilled. Before ever getting pregnant, I prayed that God would give us a boy, if He willed. And from the beginning, I had a pretty strong thought that baby was a boy. It’s definitely going to be a new {exciting} adventure for us! 🙂
