A Wife Loved Like The Church

Our family just got bigger

Posted on: August 14, 2010

As I mentioned once {in random passing} Jonathan’s grandmother is moving in with us. I haven’t really written about it since, as there wasn’t anything to tell. But now there is; Grandma moved in Thursday night!

{fair warning: Grandma hates having her picture taken, so set your hopes low for ever seeing her smile in one}

We originally planned for her move toward the end of this month, but on Wednesday changed everything for her to come the following day.

We are all very excited about this newest path in our life and family. I think it’s going to be a wonderful life lesson for our girls {and me!} to live in a multi-generation home. And like with all housing situations, I am sure there will be issues and problems to work through. In fact, for me we’ve already had our first. Thursday night, Julia and I both got really sick. Grandma’s welcoming committee was the two of us throwing up and feeling less then hospitable {at least on my part}. While Julia felt better by Friday morning, I stayed in bed most of the day. Not quite how I imagined starting off hosting, but what can ya do? Thankfully, she didn’t mind in the least.

How cool! Look forward to hearing more about how this goes. Praying for you guys!
Are you feeling back to normal now?

WHAT? How did I miss hearing about this? I’m so excited for you all! Yay! Now your girls have a fighting chance to learn to speak some Spanish if nothing else. 🙂

Eager to meet Grandma! Hope you all are feeling better. There seems to be something going through the neighborhood! 😦

I will mention-{again-:) Ha!} the verse the Lord often uses to help me cope when plans change-

“The mind of man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” Proverbs 19:21 LB

Did you run today?

Yeah, I heard Nathan was sick today and a few other friends of friends.

I didn’t run today. Thought it best to hold off one more day, just to give my body some more recovery time.

Did she move there from San Antonio? Hope she doesn’t freeze…you’ll be a blessing…

This is so neat Sarah! I can’t wait to read more about your adventures as a multigenerational home, I’m sure some good food stories are sure to come. What a gift to her and your family to share your lives, the girls will be blessed by this.
