Heart pounding, head swimming…

I just told my boss I’m pregnant.
Before the meeting my heart was pounding so much that it felt as though it would jump out of my chest.
But it’s done. And he said he was expecting it. I figured as much.
I did feel pretty bad when he asked me when I’d be back after the baby and I told him I wouldn’t be.

I still haven’t told my co-workers. That will take time, as I plan on waiting till I start to show before telling most of them.

You are so good! I told my best friend the moment i found out cause Hillman was in the middle of teaching a class. She teaches aerobics at same the YMCA I do and she told a few who told a few….now everyone knows and are willing to tell me any advice they want. When Im teaching, some of my class participants will say “Kara, should you be doing jumping jacks?” I guess its kind of cute but…geezzee! 😉

Wow- that is a tough thing to tell your boss. I was super nervous about telling my boss I was quitting my research job. But don’t worry- you’re doing what’s best for the baby!! And now there’s at least the relief that it’s all out in the open! 🙂
